Darrell Ashby
Trustee
Darrell Ashby is the President of Pier 4 Real Estate Investment Trust (Reit) and is responsible for corporate decisions, managing short and long term financial and operational goals, while maintaining corporate development. Mr. Ashby has over 35 years of real estate and asset management experience along with 38 years of general contracting experience. Prior to founding Pier 4 Reit Mr. Ashby successfully owned a general contracting business since 1981. Furthermore, Mr. Ashby owned and managed a real estate portfolio of $20 million dollars throughout Canada and the United States. Darrell Ashby is a member of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, Great Toronto Apartment Association and the Federation of Rental-Housing Providers of Ontario.
Paul Chisholm
Trustee
Paul Chisholm is the President of Berkley Property Management Inc. which has been providing property management services to landlords in Southern Ontario since 2002. Before forming Berkley, Paul began his extensive career at a small property management company at the time called Highmark Properties. During his time there as partner, he helped grow the company into the third largest third-party property management firm in Canada. After selling his shares in Highmark, Mr. Chisholm then started HiStar Property Management which was later merged with Greenwin Property Management. Mr. Chisholm currently sits on the board of the Federation of Rental-Housing Providers of Ontario. Mr. Chisholm earned a BA from the University of Toronto, his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from York University and is also a Chartered Accountant.
Ian Stewart

Ian Stewart is the Co-CEO of Wyse Meter Solutions. Wyse Meter Solutions is Canada’s leading expert in utility information, metering and expense management. Wyse Meter Solutions was recently ranked as one of Canada’s 16 fastest growing companies by Profit 500. Prior to Wyse Meter Solutions, Mr. Stewart co-founded Stratacon Inc. and has delivered energy management projects to over 250,000 multi-residential suites across Canada. Mr. Stewart led a team of investment bankers from Genuity and Solaris in the sale of Stratacon Inc. Ian has presented White Papers to Ministry of Housing and Social Services, Ministry of Energy and The Ontario Energy Board on Smart Submetering policy. Ian is a member of the Smart Submetering Working Group, Automated Meter Reading Association, Association of Condominium Management of Ontario and The Federation of Rental-Housing Providers of Ontario. Mr. Stewart also has a BA in economics from the University of Western.
Dennis Kalish
Independent Director
Dennis is a property management consultant who uses his 39 years of experience to advise and guide Condominium Boards and property managers on complex property management issues. Dennis began his property management career in his native South Africa in 1981 and has been managing multi-unit residential buildings ever since. Dennis immigrated to Canada in 1988 and has worked for two of Toronto’s most respected property management companies, where he most recently oversaw a portfolio of 4,800 suites. Dennis has been formally recognized by his peers in the property management industry for his knowledge and experience. He is a fellow of the South African Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and completed the Management Advancement Program at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
